Our cattle are all raised on a low input system where they have to work for us. They graze diverse grass legume mixed forage from May to November. Trained on hot wires with daily moves and treat trained with alfalfa pellets or cubes after weaning. They are not vaccinated, or treated for flies with any chemical applications.

MCCF Vermilion Donnie passed a BSE Exam on 11/8/2024.

Donnie was born 4/29/23 here at the farm, and has been raised in a low input grass system. They are on pasture year round, grazing and very used to daily hot wire moves. They also out winter on pasture, we do not put cattle in barns here.

We do treat train them with small handfuls of alfalfa pellets, but beyond that he has had nothing but forage and some minerals.
